Sores and dry skin on penis

About 3 weeks ago my scrotum got really itchy, to the point where i scratched and scratched. Now it is really red and almost leather like with a lot of peeling dry skin. A week ago i noticed small red dots on my penis. They progressively got worse and now there are many sores on my penis as well as dry skin that peels off. When i first noticed the dots i went to the doctor and he gave me a cream to treat jock itch, yeast infection, ect. I was also  tested for syphillis in which the test came back negative. The cream is not helping. Also there are two small sores on the base of my penis and the dots are still there.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! This is really frustrating me.

Thank you

jock itch will cause rashes.  Hard to tell if that's what is going on or not.  At this point I recommend going back to be seen again to make sure you don't have something other than just a fungal infection going on with all your scratching.

also whenever you can, go pantless ( wear a bathrobe around the house so you don't scare people ).  it will get cool , drying air to your genital area to help discourage yeast overgrowth as well as it decreases friction on your sensitive genital skin too.

Go to a Drug Store and purchase anti fungal cream and powder, you'll find these around the "Foot Fungus" section, basically Jock itch is just a fungus just like athletes foot! Keep your crotch dry and after showering use a blow dryer to dry your skin.
