Spot on Scrotum

by worriedguy05, May 31, 2005 12:00AM
I have a unprotected sexual encounter last fall. i had been tested for STD's HIV all came back neg. Just recently i noticed a dry / leather-looking spot on my scrotum. i itched a little. I applied some hydro-cort cream and it stopped the itch. It is flat, thre are no bumps, but it is there, If my scrotum is "loose" you dont see it. If it is "cold" or rectraced it looks like a wrinkle ( The best term i can think of ). Is this Herpes? or warts ? should i be worried. There are no other spots on my genital area. I have some Exczma on my legs could it be this ?

Your thoughts are appreciated

Doesn't sound like herpes, warts or any other STD. Your own suspicion of exzema (eczema) sounds like a good bet, but of course I can't tell by your description.

I think I have eczema on my scrotum. A few red, leathery areas. Don't really itch, but are fairly visible. I get eczema on my arms sometimes and the doctor gave me Elocon mometasone furoate ointment. And I admit, I put a little of that on eczema spots on the scrotum. Bad idea? Should I see a regular doctor or a dermatologist?

Thanks.
