Std risk?

I have a some questions regarding my STD risk. 2.5 weeks ago a CSW (female) gave me protect oral sex for 30-60 seconds then have me a hand release with condom. 2 weeks ago I gave a CSW (female) unprotected oral sex 30-50 seconds and fingered her as well. No vaginal or anal sex in either scenario. I don't have Any genital symptoms but have been developing a transient rash on neck, sometimes on back and arms as well. There is no real sign of bites but my skin feels itchy/crawly. I realize it may be stress but I'm not only concerned about STDs but scabies. I had a StD and Hiv test today. The NP checked me out for scabies and thought I only had dry skin. I tried to explaine that scabies doesn't appear for 2-6 weeks but she was pretty certain it wasn't scabies. I was hoping for elimite cream as a potential prophylactic. Is there anything else I can do or is it just a waiting game? Also what is the stds I'm most likely at risk for? I have history of being HSV1 positive. Thanks for any help

Stop posting the same thing again. Either take the advice or don't but no reason to post the exact same question again.

Your not reading what Grace wrote.

Syphilis presents usually at day 21 and your rash has nothing to do with syphilis. A syphilis canker is very nasty looking. Highly doubt syphilis as you probably would have noticed a nasty looking canker on her.

I had a canker sore on tongue 1 week post exposure that resolve in a few days and was mild. Now I have another mild canker sore on tongue now 18 days out and mild. I'm so worried its syphilis. I have blood work pending for this week but not sure if I should just get the penicillin shot now. Any help would be great as I'm stressing out!

Grace again thanks for your advice. Anxiety is probably the main reason I'm concerned but I'm also in the medical field and I'm reading about all the clinical presentations and timelines, its difficult for me to ignore any sign/sx especially the ongoing transient neck rash. I also am not sur how thorough the clinicians evaluation of the rash was. She is check my genital area and no symptoms as well as my hands but not really my back, neck, trunk of body. I also have a lot of young kids in my family and its difficult to avoid situations in which I'm not concerned about exposing them. Is the syphillis readily transferable skin to skin? I've read different impressions of that. But either way I guess if Iii could just do the therapy PenG and elimite it would put me at ease. Your thoughts are greatly appreciated.

cold sores typically do not show up on the tongue.  those are typically canker sores.

syphilis testing is accurate after 6 weeks post encounter. we don't treat for syphilis unless you have a + test for it.

why do you doubt what you were told this rash is?

Not sure if connected but just noticed a itchy bump near ear at hairline. Can scabies/syphilis manifest there?

Thanks Grace for your help. The rash is actually on my neck upper back and can be bothersome and the go away. There are no welts visible. Not sure how syphillis rash really presents. If it were, my test from yesterday would come up positive, no? Also the delayed symptomology of scabies worries me as anywhere from 2-6 weeks. In regards to HSV2 I did notice possible cold sore on tounge 4-5 days post exposure and was very mild. It lasted 3-4 days and reaolved. It could have been aggravated by salty foods as I was eating salty and spicy.  Is it common place to give PCN right off the bat as syphilis may take weeks to months to show?

no reason to think you have a syphilis rash. Even though most providers will go their entire career without seeing a syphilis rash, it is pretty easy to spot.

is it likely you contracted an oral std from performing oral on someone? No it is not.   To correct what vance told you - hsv2 would be your risk from performing oral on someone, your hsv1 oral infection wouldn't provide any protection from that but the likelihood that you'd contract hsv2 orally is incredibly low plus you've had absolutely no symptoms of oral herpes so you can cross that off your list of worries.

I wouldn't self treat for scabies either if your provider didn't think this was scabies looking ( once again, a very obvious rash with scabies ). You don't want to add further irritation to your already irritated skin!!

if your rash doesn't clear up in another week with applying a good moisturizer to the area like aquaphor, see a dermatologist.

Thanks Vance. In regards to syphilis when the rash presents itself is it persistent (non transient?) and how soon will it start? Is syphilis a moderate risk with unprotected cunnilingus? If I have hSV and she did as well could unprotected oral aggravate my symptoms?

Well from protected oral no risk. Masterbating her no risk. Giving her oral very low risk for herpes (since you have it no reason to worry), HPV and syphilis.

As for scabies, don't  know very much at all about it, but I would just take the Dr's advice on that.
