My boyfriend and I recently went camping and had sex but couldn't clean after for a day or two.  The next day we both developed pimple like bumps on his penis and on my lower butt and vaginal lips. They look sort of like pimples with a white top but when we pop them liquid comes out. We both got tested for std's about 3 months ago and were negative for everything. They hurt when pressure is applied like with pimples and it hurts when I pee but that doesn't bother him. What can this be?!

Assuming it's a superficial bacterial infection, it probably will go away on its own -- just wash with soap and water a couple times a day. If it continues for more than 2-3 days, though, get professionally examined.

HSV1 can be transmitted to partners by kissing or oral sex. It isn't all that frequent, and the nurse is correct that it's indeed nothing to worry about -- except to avoid kissing and cunnilingus if and when your partner is having an oral herpes outbreak.

My boyfriend only tested positive for hsv1 I think. The one that is like cold sores on the mouth but the nurse said that was done and nothing to worry about . Will this go away on it's own?

This sound most like a superficial bacterial infection, or perhaps yeast -- either of which could be related to the hygiene problem you describe, especially if its hot or humid where you are. There are features that are consistent with genital herpes as well, but of course that's unlikely if your mutual STD tests 3 months ago included blood tests for herpes simplex virus (HSV) and both of you were negative for both HSV1 and HSV2. Also, herpes lesions usually are superficial and start with blister-like lesions, i.e. filled with clear fluid, not white or pus.

Can you provide your and your partner's blood test results, if HSV testing was done?
