Still Haveing Discharge

by confused661, Sep 24, 2009 01:41PM
Ok so i got treated for trichomonas 6weeks ago and symptoms went away and came back after a week. So i went back to the clinic and the doctor stated i probably had a yeast infection so she gave me a pill and sent me on my way. That was two weeks ago. So i went back to the clinic got a pap smear done again she said everything came back neg. and that it could take months for the discharge to stop. I went to planned parent hood and im just wondering if what she said was true or she just didnt want to fool with it. So i guess my question is how long should the discharge last after being treated for Trichomonas?

I have heard that it could take weeks...months I doubt it. But weeks is highly possible. 6 weeks can't really say, seems on the long side.

ok so what would you reccomend i dont have insurance so i can see a doctor they want cash up front and that i lack.  I really would like this problem to go away all of my other symptoms are gone and all thats left is the discharge. I read somewhere that i second dose may be needed but the clinic will not give me another dose cause i tested neg for every std and uti, bladder infection, yeast infect a week ago.

only thing i can suggest is to follow up with your Dr. Or maybe find a different Dr. Your in a tough spot and wish I could help more but a Dr is the only one who is going to be able to give you treatment or diagnosis you with something else.
