Syphilis RPR

by Samuelhk, Aug 10, 2007 12:46AM
Dear Sirs/madams,

Half year ago, I found infected with Syphilic and the test result was RPR 1:8 positive.  After treatment 4 months ago.  My recent test result become RPR 1:1 positive and TPPA 1:1200.

1. Does it mean that the treatment work ?  Do I need further treatment ?
2. Can I have sex life ?  Will I infect my partner even using condom ?

Thanks a lot,
Samuel

I'm not too familiar with the numbers of the RPR test. Why don't you ask your doctor or the person who treated you? I wouldn't recommend having any sex until you are conclusively negative. Condoms aren't 100% effective against syphilis.
