Syphilis Test after treatment

Once you have been treated for syphilis, is there a sure way to test that now you don't have syphilis anymore?

I am panicking because the std doctor told me today that I might have syphilis and I have to wait for my test results.

I was reading about syphilis on this website and I read that once the syphilis antibodies are produced, they stay in your system forever.

So, I was wondering what would they check for after giving the treatment for syphilis to make sure it has cleared up because from what I understand the antibodies will always be in the blood of someone who has had syphilis.

Yes, a syphilis test.

You had a low risk encounter for STDs, and you shouldn't worry about syphilis from it.
