Syphillis Concern

I'm not sure when I could have been exposed as I had several oral encounters over the past few months. I very small lesion (..3cm) appeared about 2 1/2 weeks ago on my glans, ulcerated, scabbed up and now is gone except for a faint pink spot where it was. I had an RPR that was negative when the sore was there for about a week. I understood that was potentially too early to get a result so I went to the clinic last week. She said she didn't think it was syphillis but aggreed to give me a TPPA test as that is more accurate in the primary stage. It also came back negative. I am still very worried as I have not found anything else with that kind on symptom. Is that TPPA conclusive at this stage or should I go retest with RPR? Will that be conclusive now that primary ulcer has cleared?  Finally can I pass between healing of primary and before secondary appears. Thank you very much.  This is a great site.

You seem worried man, hopefully I can help you out.

Syphilis is not a death sentence, even if you got tested a year (or several months) later and were treated then, you'd be fine.

6 weeks post exposure is a good time to test for syphilis.
8 weeks is especially good.

Can only transmit when you have a sore. If you test with the symptom it should show positive, but week-2 weeks after would test positive.
