Syphillis risk

I'll be very grateful if someone can provide me their expert analysis of the risks I ran in an encounter recently:

Three weeks ago I visited a CSW for an erotic massage. The masseuse and I were both naked, and she masturbated me for a few minutes gently.

I wanted to avoid contracting an STD, so I then decided to put on a condom while she continued. During the rest of the massage (while I was wearing the condom) she sat on my lap for a few moments and I think my genitals came in contact with hers while I was wearing the condom. There was no penetration at any point, and the only sexual activity was a handjob. But the outside of her vagina may have come into contact with the base of my penis, not covered by the condom.

Three weeks later (a few days ago) I noticed a small red bump at the base of my penis. Since the encounter I have shaved my genital region, so hoped it was an ingrowing hair. But now I am terrified I have contracted syphillis when our genitals touched.

The bump is small (just less than 3mm).

I've read varying accounts that Syphillis can only infect through compromised skin or mucous membrane during penetrative sex, but other accounts that a syphillis sore can infect any skin if touched - even a hand.

I saw no sores on the girl. But the appearance of this spot 3 weeks later now has me terrified because I've also read I can't test for syphillis until 12 weeks after the event.

If someone can tell me whether there is a realistic risk the bump is syphillis I will be really really grateful.

Thanks in advance.

Very unlikely to be syphilis.

Thanks again, just one last question:

You say it's very unlikely it's syphillis - could you quantify the risk? Would it be 1 in 1000?

Or a bigger risk?

Once again, thank you for your advice in advance

Syphilis sore to infect someone needs to grind in, yes intact skin can get the infection, just not that common overall.

Thank you very much for your fast response - it makes me feel much better.

I've noticed the general advice I've found isn't very clear: is it possible for syphillis to infect intact skin?

Also, are you aware of any instance of syphillis infecting in this way?

Sorry to bother you again with this - I'm just trying to calm myself down.
