Tea Tree Oil for penile yeast/fungi? How?

I need advice on how to use tea tree oil for fungus infection on/in penis. I've posted before thinking it was some other std, but after my recent doctor visit w blood and urine tests(which come back in 1 week) the doctor says my ongoing redness/sensitivity is the cause of fungus or yeast which settled in my urethra. The advice given was to keep applying Clotrimazole twice daily, which I've been doing for the past week but nothing cleared. The second option was to TRY using tea tree oil but didn't ask how. After reading on the web, it seems it could work so how should i apply it? Should I directly apply the oil and maybe cover? or give a few drops to a bath? I was tested for Syphilis which came back negative, also examined for warts or herpes symptoms but no signs. Only tested for gonorrhea and chlamydia. Any advice on using tea tree oil to rid myself of this ugly fungus?(fungus sounds gross, but I don't have mushrooms coming off my penis.) =) please help.

Has anyone ever gotten ED from yeast infection in their penis? I basically have the same symptoms as most have described, regarding yeast infection.  I have had this issue for a few years now, looking for a way to cure myself from it.  Good thing I came across the post on the Tea Tree Oil idea. Definitely giving that a try.   Only difference is that I have been having some level of erectile dysfunction recently. I was wondering if anyone has been experiencing the same?  If anyone has please let me know if I should be concerned or is this an effect from the yeast infection within my genital areas.   Anyone with info about this would be amazingly appreciated.

TTO does feel like icyhot.  I usually say its like using vicks vapo rub on your genitals.

I'm glad you are getting some results.  :)  Oh and I use it full strength now, too.

Mixing it with olive oil - what a good idea.  :)

WOW!! Thanks grace for the information I needed!!! I learned myself 100% pure oil does sting..but I like to describe it more as "Icy hot"..I noticed TTO does smell..weird but this is the best solution, after 2 days of using it I've seen more improvement then Clotrimazole(and i used that for almost a week, after I washed it off, the redness and discomfort would return). Thanks again grace for the reply and the information!!. I actually mixed in 1/2 tsp of TTO and 1tsp of Olive oil and apply it using a lil towel or use q-tips. TTO does not mix well with water so try mixing it with coconut oil or virgin olive oil to dilute. At first I was really sensitive to 100% oil but after diluting w olive oil I've gained resistance for 100% - it feels odd at first, after a bit the discomfort goes away and returns to normal color(no more redness). After 3 days of applying Tea Tree Oil for penile yeast infection I've noticed alot of improvement!! Finally!! Anyone who has the case of the uncureable yeast infection try TTO!! I've also tried 10-20 mins baths using this oil, I mix in 10-15drops of TTO directly into water - The TTO is working and seeping into your skin when you start to sweat(you'll notice the sweating, drip drip drip.) I even heard women w yeast infections can soak a tampon into diluted TTO and leave in overnight. Vinegar and Garlic? good suggestions, if all else fails ill switch but so far, I love tea tree oil for its healing properties. Thanks a million more to Grace. Anyone needing a solution after all else fails, try this amazing Tea Tree Oil(available anywhere in the vitamin section)

Yes TTO is a good antifungal :)

You don't want to start out using tto full strength.  It can sting quite a bit the first few times you use it ( I call it stinging - it's an unusual sensation...he he he ).  It also has a very herbally smell to it too - be aware of that.  My advice is wet a wash cloth and wring it out , put a few generous drops of tto on it, squish it a bit to distribute the tto around the washcloth a bit and then rub it gently over your genital area. It will probably sting a bit - if it's unbearable, jump in the shower and wash it off gently.  I'd apply it 2x/day for 2 weeks. Other folks make a spray bottle up of it. Look online for a 'recipe' for how to do this.  I know in the past I've found posts with folks making a spray for diaper rash in babies with it in it.

vinegar is also an option if you prefer that smell.

Garlic is also an option especially if you have a vampire problem in your neighborhood ;)  All have great antifungal properties to them.

Well, TTO has anti-fungal properties, so it might help.

Let me know how it works, ok?

I've used tto for bacterial vaginosis, and even for dermatitis, but not for yeast.

Thanks for the response. Dr said since the Clotrimazole wasn't working try tto..externally since it does seep into the skin. Basically it's a 'uncurable' yeast infection and i'm trying everything possible. Anyone else use tea tree oil to resolve this issue? So far so good, it does seem to relieve discomfort and redness but I hope it cures it for good, Is this a good solution?

The fungus is inside the urethra?  I don't know about using TTO internally for men.

I'd call your doc and ask if he's the one that made the suggestion.

I see why you would post here but your asking about tea tree oil to help solve a fungus infection. Maybe other people will have an idea about it, but like I said I really don't think this is the correct place for such a question.

You could also call your Dr and ask him/her since that is where the idea originated from.

Ugh, sorry? The only reason I posted in this FORUM. is because the title reads "This forum is for questions and support regarding STD issues such as: Chlamydia, ....., Warts, Yeast Infection" and since fungi is yeast and yeast is fungi, either way I thought this forum would support it. Hmm. Any real answers?

This is not really the form for the question to be asked or answered. Try posting this in Men's Health or something along those lines.
