Tiny bump in genital area, should I be concerned?

Within the last two days I have become bothered with a tiny bump that has formed at the base of my penis. It is rather small, probably only 1-2 mm in diameter if that. It isn't really any specific color, looks generally then same as my skin only a little redder with a little bit of coloration around it. What concerns me is the pain I feel when pressure is applied to it, it can really hurt! What I also noticed was a small hair growing out of the center. Now, I have not been sexually active withing the last month or so and have only gone so far as oral sex once. Could this be a STD or is it more likely an ingrown hair?? I have never had any kind of problem like this before and it is only one tiny bump. Thanks for any help!!!

I'm not a physician, but it sounds like you may have a pimple or ingrown hair.  An ingrown hair can be painful, especially as it gets larger.  Pimples tend to go away on their own.  Just to be safe, seek advice from a physician.

i agree with worrywort.  it sounds to me like an ingrown hair. it's not IMPOSSIBLE that it's herpes since you've received oral sex, but i don't think it sounds like it.
