Tiny hard white lumps inside anus

by glennyb, Apr 04, 2005 12:00AM
I have noticed these small, some-what hard whitehead looking lumps inside my anus, just near the oppening.  What can this mean?  I am not gay, but it might of been from this girl that rubbed up against me, I don't know.  Anyways, I would like to know what is up with this.  I did some research, but I was not to successful.  I do not think they are warts because they are so small (like a pinhead) and I noticed them before the "sexual contact" that I had mentioned above!  The area surrounding my anus has been itchy a lot to, not as much recently, and I am not sure if this has to do with the same problem.  I itch mainly in the crack of my buttocks.  Anyways, there is a cluster of them (around 10 or so) all around the anus, like I said, inside but near the opening.  Please, if anyone could help, I would deeply appreciate it.  Thank you!

P.S.  If you need a picture of some kind, I will come up with some way of sending it to you!

Hard to tell from your description, and I don't look at posted pictures of lesions; it comes to close to practicing medicine from a distance, which no online health expert can (or should) do.  You might be seeing your anal papillae, i.e. normal anatomy.  Perhaps warts, which sometimes appear in the anal area in women and straight men.  Conceivably herpes, but the lesions would be painful and then heal pretty soon, so that is unlikely.  Syphilis can cause anal abnormalities, but this doesn't sound like syphilis.

I suggest you visit a health care provider.  Your local health department STD clinic would be a great place to start; or you can call your local medical society and find a proctologist (rectal disease specialist) in your area.

Good luck-- HHH, MD
