Too early to Tell?

I had an unprotected sex 11 days ago and came inside her once. Unfortunately, that same night, i had sex with my wife. 2 days later i experienced some stinging sensation in my urethra which made it difficult for me to urinate. But i suspect that it was injured after i had difficulty penetrating my wife's vagina which was very tight at the time (i've been away from home for about 5 months). A couple of days ago, that stinging sensation in my urethra disappeared....on the other hand, my wife says she also has yellowish vaginal discharge. I've been experiencing slight pains on both of my groin lymph nodes from 2nd day after exposure until now. I had my wife tested for HIV/STD yesterday but still awaiting for the results....Could i be infected? Hope to hear from you soon.

your std testing is only accurate at this point for gonorrhea and chlamydia. You should go yourself and get screened for them both.  You need to wait until 6 weeks after the last time you had sex for testing for syphilis and 3 months for testing for herpes and hiv.

your wife should follow up on her issues separately.  no, hiv testing on her won't look for anything other than hiv. has she had her discharge tested for infection too?

should i also bring my wife for another STD test? even if she underwent one 3 days ago? the HIV/Elisa test she took was part of a requirement for residency in the country we are currently in. will it be able to see all the possible infections?

Yes HIV is certainly a risk for you but not so for your wife.
Herpes is a possibility! Suggest to go for a STD profile testing post 3 months.
