How certain is it that one will catch an std from a carrier via oral sex? Can one have oral sex with a carrier of chlamedyia or gohorhea and not catch it?

People are not carriers of std's. So please stop referring to it as that. It's not like people have dormant std genes. Also, please keep your posts under one topic. It helps keep things straight for those answering questions. Can you imagine what would happen if everyone on forum kept creating new posts?

I'm sorry, I'm new and I am sweating out a test. I am also terrified. However, your response is a relief. I have had burning during urination and some soreness afterwards. I had oral sex (not to ejaculation) with two people about 3 weeks before the symptoms appeared. I had sex with my partner before the symptoms appeared a few days ago. I also have a history of prostatitis and that could well be the cause.

ejaculation has absolutely no bearing on risk of a std.

www.ashastd.org has terrific info on all std's , how to test for them and how they are transmitted.
