Treatment for disseminated gonorrhea

I have disseminated gonorrhea and have had it for many years (+19 years), so I just found out. I have been treated for the past 4 months but I'm not recovered.  I was wondering what is the standard treatment is for my case.  I'm currently being given 1gm IM of ceftriaxone per day but this does not seem to be enough.  How long should I be treated.

Hi dgiproblems,

I have read your post and I want to ask you a question.

How did you find out that you had DGI since more than 19 years?

Thanks

What are your tests showing?

You may also want to post in the Expert community, there is a fee associated with it but both Dr's are very knowledagble.

I don't have a clue because I have never heard of someone with a case of gonorrhea for 19+ years. I will ask someone else to take a look. But I believe your best resource is going to be your Dr.
