Trichomoniasis 2g dose Flagyl 100% effective?

I'm in a committed relationship with the same person that I was, and was tested for STD's when we first started having sex.  After the first test, I was told that I had bacterial vaginosis, and was given Flagyl (500mg 2x a day for 7 days).   After I had taken the medication, the symptoms had cleared, and everything was fine until a few months later.  I went to get tested for STD's again a few months ago because I was worried about the discharge that I was having,  and was told that I had trichomoniasis.  I have had it once before in the past, but was treated with Flagyl (500mg 2x a day for 7 days) before I began having sex again.  The medicine that I was recently given was a single 2g dose of Flagyl.  I noticed that a couple of days after I had taken the medication, I had a large amount of thick discharge, and after that, the symptoms I previously had persisted.  I went back to get tested again at the clinic, and the doctor told me that it was impossible for the medication to have failed because the 2g dose of Flagyl is 100% effective, and that all women have discharge.  She "tested" me again, with her mind made up that I was just paranoid, told me that I had nothing, but yet I still have a yellow-green milky discharge, with a very bad odor.  I'm sure this can't be normal, but if I go back, that's the only response I'll get.  I told her that I had taken Flagyl in the past for a longer period of time, and asked if it was possible for the trich to become resistant to the Flagyl, but she dismissed the idea.  Is this true?  Is a 2g dose of Flagyl 100% effective?

How did things turn out for you ? I was prescribed Flagyl 2x a day for 7 days to cure BV , but I don't know if I have BV or Trich ..
And I hear you can also treat trich with 2x a day for 7 days .. but they reccommend 2000g in 1 dose or over the course of 2 days ..

Which works better !?
