Two questions about syphilis

1) Does the syphilis rash appear on the hands and feet AND can appear on other parts of the body? Meaning, if you have a rash everywhere else but not on the hands and feet could you still have syphilis?

2) Does it spread after other areas if the rash began to heal?

1) The rash typically appears on the hands and feet and torso. If you have a rash on your arm then probably not syphilis.

2) Don't know what you mean by spread.

Thanks Vance for replying. By two, I mean the rash is spreading to my legs. It started on my chest and probably back too. These are healing up. But now it is on my thighs and calf, with like one spot on top of my foot and on the top of my hands. It is on my arm as well.

I was thinking it might be pityriasis rosea since it's more common. Had an appt today, but now I can't go...

Well thank you, I am a bit more at ease now. But that means now that I have to wait for it to leave, and look gross. :(
