UTI?

I went to the doctor 4 days ago to get a urine test because I fel that I had a UTI. It came back negative so they gave me the medicine SULFAMETHOXAZOLE-TRIMETHOPRIM to take for 10 days. It's day 4 and the doctor just called me saying that my culture came back contaminated so they don't know if I even have a UTI. I think I do, maybe. They said to come back if I still feel like I have the UTI after the 10 days are up. My symptoms are basicallt it feels sore inside. It doesn't hurt when I pee and I don't have to go pee all the time. It's uncomfortable. I also have HPV, would that make a difference?

I am asking basically, why do I feel symtoms of a UTI after 4 days? Shouldn't I be better by now? I knkow I have to take the meds for 10 days and I will. I'm just frusterated for feeling like this. Maybe it's an irritated ureathra or a yeast infection? All these thoughts are going thru my mind. I don't know why my pee test was contamintaed. The doctors now don't know if I even have a UTI.
