Ureaplasma and mycoplasma

Hi All,

Could somebody tell if Ureaplasma & Mycoplasma can be transmitted via protected vaginal & oral sex?

Please let me know?

hi there, thanks again for replying to my MSG. How do you if this is not possible. Do you have to have your full genital region exposed fully when in contact?

Ureaplasma and Mycoplasma are bacterial infections of the genitourinary system, not skin infections (like HSV or HPV). Therefore, when you wear a condom, it prevents the exchange of fluids which might carry these bacteria. That is why condoms which do not break are 100% effective against these.
