Urethral HSV

Dear Forum Members,

I have seen several threads that make reference to HSV infection in the urethra and to associated dysuria.

I would have to assume that such an infection would cause quite severe and almost disabling pain upon urination and that the pain would be greatest during urination, although it may be present throughout.

If my assumption is correct, I would then assume that mild and constant pain (better described as discomfort) is not suggestive of HSV infection.

Any thoughts or comments?

Kind regards

constant pain for more than a week or so would not be due to herpes.

I should add that the discomfort does "peak" every now and again, but this doesn't occur whilst urinating and is rare enough to my mind to be inconsequential, but still worth mentioning in this thread.

Kind regards
