Urine test positive

I am working in gulf country and i have been exposed to a STD. I got a kind of very minuscule white spot with pus coming on the tip of my penis and a white discharge. when i was peeing it was also burning.

Also unfortunately, i had intercouse with my partner without seeing earlier any symptoms until i ejaculate with a burning sensation.

I went to the doctor (dermatologist/veneral disease). he consulted me and he prescribed me the following:

- Quinox 500 (ciprofloxacin tablets)  1x day for 5 days
-Tabocine 100 (doxycline hyclate tablets) 2x day for 14 days

After 4-5 days the discharge stopped, the burning sensation also stopped after 7 days. I still have 3 tablets to take (1 tonight and 2 tomorrow of doxycline) and the single ulcer is almost resorbed.

My doctor did not tell me excatly what i got so i have a few questions:

1) in addition of the urine test positive, Is a visual and & physical exam enough to make a correct verdict?
2) I am worry about the single sore (ulcer) almost resorbed. From your opinion Is it a syphillys or something else?
3) if Syphillis, why not to prescibe me Penicilline which was more adequate treatment?
4) if the ulcer is still not fully resorbed after tommorrow would i need to continue for more days the doxycline?

Once i finish my last tablet, i have to return to the doctor and make another urine test.

Finally, he gaves my partner which did the urine test (everything was normal) a prevention treatment with same tablets than me:  Quinox 500 (ciprofloxacin), 1x day for 5 days

4) if this pre-treament good enough to make sure she will stay away to get same than me?

Thank you in advance for a reply.

J.

That can be used as a proventitive treatment. No herpes outbreak is more then 1 sore.

Thanks you Doctor for your prompt reply.

I have another question in regards to syphillis. I have read that Doxycline 2 tablets a day for 2 weeks could also cure syphillis.  Is it right?

I will anyway follow your advise to test for syphillis and herpes.  Is it common with 1single sore as i got to have herpes?

Thank you Doctor

she was also properly treated so no worries. make sure you avoid sex for a full week.

typically you don't develop sores with chlamydia. Both of you following up with syphilis and herpes blood testing is a good idea. You'll need to wait until 6 weeks after either of you last had sex with another partner for syphilis testing and 3 months for the herpes igg blood testing.

Doctor i finsihed my antibiotics and i did a new urine test. Everything came negative. I do not have any sore, discharge and burning sensation anymore.

The doctor was protective to tell me exactly what i got (due to the fact that i am maybe in a muslim country) but after insisting by asking questions to know what exactly i got, he let me know that it was mainly Chamlydia.

He told me that i recovered very well and he asked me about my partner.

My question is she did the urine test and all was negative when i got the symptoms. She got  Quinox 500 (ciprofloxacin tablets)  1x day for 5 days as a preventive treatment although she didnt have symptoms and test negative.

My question was: is this preventive treatment was enough to avoid she get Chamlydia? or can she still develop it?

and finally, i asked about my small sore which has been healed with the treatment,  to know excatly what infection was it but he just told that it was urinary infection.

Is chlamydia can develop a little sore on tip of the penis urethra?

Thank you

1. Yeah it should be, what else would you want done to identify something?
2. Probably something else. Syphilis is a large sore, google it.
3. "If" Can't answer "if" questions
4. Finish the treatment, I don't know what you have so I can't say what to do, but even if I knew I could not give you medication advice.

Not sure what your asking in your last question.
