VDRL REACTIVE AND FTA NON REATIVE

Hello everyone.

I have a couple of questions that my doctor never answers or some times answers with a simple
(That's nothing to worried about).

Since I has thirteen my VDRL test came back reactive(By that time I didn't have sex with no body) Ten years after when I have another VDRL before I got married, this one came back reactive the Dr have me take an  FTA and this came back non reactive. Five years later I was diagnose with a ARAKNOID KIST,  this is located in my left part of the brain, this is causing me seizures, speak problems, memory lost and some times multiple changing moods. I could be sad or mad and I found my self laughing in the other second. I am currently using DEPACOTE ED for the seizures. Some times I can't sleep well, thinking could this cause something worst. By the way the mass has being in my head since I can remember.

My Questions

1.Could I inherit this from my parents?
2.Could the VDRL test be reactive for the mass?
3.Is there other test that I can request to get answers?

Fell free to ask anything.

Thanks

Arachnoid cyst is how you spell it. I has nothing to do with STDs. RPR and VDRL are screening tests for syphilis. Since your FTA is negative then you do not have syphilis. Syphilis can be passed to a newborn at birth. This is not the same thing as inheriting a trait from your parent. Hope this helps.

If your mother had a STD when you were born then yes you could have it. But people get tested for STD's when pregnant.

1. Could you inherit what?
2. I don't understand
3. Answers for what?

Sorry I could not be of help but I am not understanding the whole situation. You have Araknois Kist it is not a STD. This is a STD forum, so I am not sure what info you are looking for?
