Very Nervous, Please Help

Hello everyone.  I had unprotected sex twice with the same girl in August of 08.  Two days after having sex I had a burning pain when urinating and this lasted for about 3 weeks and stopped.  I have urinated fine since then.  I asked her if she was clean and has been tested and she said she had been and she is fine.  I am worried though because chlamydia and gonnareah signs show up 2 to 10 days after infection and that happened to me.  It has not burned since though and I have no other signs.  I was wondering if you have this disease if when you urinate it burns all the time until it is cured.  I also would like to know if I do have eiother of these can they be cured because If I do have one I've had it for 5 months.  Any inromation is appreciated. thank you

Its probably not either since the symptoms wouldn't go away, but why not test to be sure?  Its a good idea to test, just in case, so that when you have sex again, you know you aren't infected.

I read that the symptoms can go away, but that does not mean the infection hasn't... are you sure about this post above?  I have no discharge no burning anymore no soreness.  Its just that it started hurting 2 days after for 3 weeks.  I am nervous, Maybe it could have been a UTI

Symptoms of things like syphilis and herpes can go away, and the infection would remain.  That's not true of things like gonorrhea and chlamydia, really.

Since you are so nervous, why don't you just test and end the speculation?

Alright, so if I had either of those I would most likely still have burning when I urinated or some kind of sign of those std's?  I am having a urine test done of monday to check for both. What do you think this burning a couple days after I had sex up to 3 weeks could have been from.  Possible UTI?

Not most likely you still would...no doubt about it.

Possible UTI, possible anxiety that manifested its self to pain. possible irritation.
