I would wait to have sexBuccal smear Causes of sexual dysfunction Child abuse - sexual Delayed ejaculation Erection problems Female sexual dysfunction Inhibited sexual desire Orgasmic dysfunction Puberty and adolescence Rape Safe sex with your partner until you find out what is going on. Discharge from the penis is usually indicative of infection - if your chlamydia and gonorrhea tests were negative, you could possibly have NGU. Also, even though 3 days should be enough time for chlamydia and gonorrhea tests to become positive, if your discharge does not resolve, you could always get retested. Also, 3 days is too early to test for other STDs, such as HIV, syphilis, and herpes. Syphilis can take up to 6 weeks to become positive; however, it's not an especially common STD. HIV tests usually become positive within 6 weeks, but 3 months is conclusive. Even though the probability of being infected after one instance of unprotected vaginal sex is low, getting tested again might not be a bad idea. Herpes blood tests can actually take about 4 months to become positive. Hope this helps..

Thanks for your reply.
The antibiotics have worked. The 2 (azithromycin 500mg) tablets were for chlamydia, and a double dose of the injection (benzathine peniccilin 900mg) was for gonorrhea and syphilis. The symptoms were nearly gone in 24hrs after taking azithromycin. I saw the doctor yesterday, she advised me to only have 1 dose of the injection which should take care of gonorrhea, double dose is a lot of antibiotics, and will upset the system. She did say syphilis is rare ( i am in australia) and mostly in gay community. I will definitely avoid any sex with my partner for the next week, and it will only be protected sex for next 6-8 weeks, until i can all clear for HIV/syphilis (fingers crossed).
Hey guys, Last few questions.
It has been 7 weeks since exposure, and i am ready to go and get tested for HIV/Syphillis. DO you think it has been long enough??? I just want to do it and get it over and done with, but if necessary i can wait for longer, if i have to.
Also, 1 week after taking antibiotic i went back to the doctor, and got another sample of urine done to hopefully determine what i had. The doc said that urine can stay positive for chlamydia/gonorrhea for a few weeks, even after treatment. All tests came back negative. He said it must have been NGU/NSU. Do you think the antibiotics i took would have been enough? I have not had unprotected sex with my partner, but i can't keep doing for too much longer without causing some suspicion. I guess i want to make sure that i am completely clean (please G-D!!!), and will not pass anything to her..... I have not had any symptoms since taking antibiotics.
Thanks in advance!
Yes, I think the antibiotics are enough - more than enough, really.
You can take a syphilis test now, but the meds would have worked to cure it if you even had it.
I wouldn't worry about this any longer. Oh and just a PS - "clean" has nothing to do with being std-free. "Clean" people have showered. People with stds are clean, too, as long as they bathe.
Best,
Em
