Very worried, please help

Hey Doc, here is my situation.
Six weeks ago yesterday (Friday) I had unprotected sex with a girl that I had met that night.  It was my first time ever having sex.  The act consisted mostly of me grinding on her with clothes on, then about 2, 3minutes tops of penetration.  My penis was already limp by that time, and I never ejaculated inside of her.  I have been worried sick about the possibility of HIV ever since.  About 4 weeks later, I got a cold, which consisted mainly of a stuffy nose.  That went away in a couple of days, but now I am experiencing some slight blurry vision.  My testicles, although they really don't hurt, have been more sensitive, I guess that is the best way to put it.  It is hard to read sometimes, but I have always had complained about some sort of trouble seeing in the beforehand.  Also, the past three days my bowel movements have been green in color.  No diahreah (sp?) or anything, but juet green in color.  Like I said I am very worried about my situation.  I have been scouring this forum and the internet, and have been trying to get information.  What are my chances of HIV?  Should I go in and get tested?  What should I make of my green bowel movements?  Testicles? This has been on my mind non-stop for two weeks now, and I think it was mainly brought on by my stuffy nose a couple weeks back. I am seriously stressing about it...advice would be great..thanks a lot.

I've had nearly the identical situation.  If the sexual history of the person is unknown as it seems to be here, what are the risks of aquiring any other std with this type of exposure?

Does circumcision affect the 1 in 1,000 odds in anyway?

Hey Doc, thanks for the advice.  You have relieved me of a lot of stress, but still I am having a hard time forgetting about it.  Recently in the past couple days I have had a stiff neck, and also experienced a little bit of tingling in my limbs.  Nothing too major, and I think I was having the tingling beforehand.  Anyways, are all these symptoms due to anxiety more than anything else?  Any idea?  Thank you again Doctor.

The chance of acquiring HIV from a single episode of heterosexual intercourse is extremely low, even if your partner had HIV--which she probably did not.  Your symptoms do no sugest HIV; anyway, symptoms are never a reliable indicator of HIV infection.

Because this is an STD forum, I don't get into trying to speculate on non-STD diagnoses--but the color of stool is related to nothing but what you did or didn't eat; and testicular discomfort more likely is due to anxiety than anything else.  Your risk is not high enough to warrant HIV testing.  Just forget about the whole thing.  Really, there is nothing to worry about.

But if you can't get it out of your mind, have an HIV test; as I have said on this forum many times, some people will just sleep better knowing the test result, even though the risk of infection is zero.  Enough time has gone by; modern HIV tests always are positive within 6 weeks, so the negative result will be definitive.

Best wishes--  HHH, MD

I just wanted to comment on you situation.  First off, you are probaby just pysching yourself up with all of this.  The chances that you were infected with HIV based on your story aren't very high, however it is possible.  Its been shown that a woman is more likely to have become infected on something like that, before a man.  But again you can never been 100% about anything until you are tested.  In my experience, I've learned that if your are constantly thinking and worried about something you make imagine things that aren't really there or maybe have already been there, but you just never paid attention.  Like when my period doesn't come, I automatically think that I'm pregnant, and I make symptoms appear, lol.  I'll get a preganancy test which is negative, but I still believe that I'm pregnant.  Once I accept the fact that I am pregnant, guess who comes knocking on the door (period).

As far as your bowel movements.  That was also one of my pregnant symptoms, when I was telling my friend my theories as to why I thought I was pregnant (bowels green) the first thing she asked me was, had I eaten or drank anything purple (soda, koolaid, cranberry/grape juice), come to find out, I had.  I just didn't know that will change the color of your bowels.

Your testicles may be hurting from what people like to call "Blue Balls" which means you got all worked up thinking your were about to "go all the way" then you didn't quite make it, so all that sperm had to go back to its corner, which I've learned can make a mans testicals become sore.

In my opinion, if your being 100% honest about what happen, and this is the only time you have been careless with your life, then NO I wouldn't think that you have HIV.  I mean your basising this on these so called symptoms, when there are people out here walking around right now with HIV and don't even know it, because they don't have any symptoms.
