Very worried and depressed (oral sex encounter)

Hi, I'll try to explain my problem as detailed as possibe. I traveled to manila (philipines) 2 weeks ago.  Wenesdey that week I was there I performed oral sex on a transexual (it was unprotected - no eyaculation). 4 days after that encounter I started feeling a little disconfort on my throat (I was already in the USA after 27 hours of flight), 5th day started experiencing a really small sore throat, but just that, no fever. I start researching and I found to possibles cuases, Throath gonorrea or HIV. I became really worried (specially because HIV) and very depresed and nervous (I'm right now). I also start having a testticular (left testicle) pain and enlargement (really small pain/enlargement). I paniced and I took cipro 500 ML single dose My sore throat disappear 4 days after it appeard but I still have some left testicle disconfort and my right ankle (the one I use for the gas pedal on my car has some pain. I also found a little red/brown mark on the same ankle that hurts, it its rigth on the place my shoe friction my ankle when I use the gas car pedal. I'm so paranoic that I see and feel things that I think I never saw (actually I dont know if that red (more browm mark) was there before, I think it was (and I think is becasue the shoe friction). Well, as you can see I'm really depressed, sad, worried about my life (I have a wife and a daughter) :(. I Know I did a really stupid thing. I know the Throat gonorrea can give you sore throat but what about the tsticular inflamation (inflammation)/pain?? I brushed my theet after the encounter, could that done somthing like passing the gonorrea to my blood stream trough my gums (and that the reason I am having also testicular (left testicle) pain/inflamation?? I'm some times got my gums bleeding when brushing (not always, but like 1 or 2 a month. Im paranoic. I would like to test for HIV but I have to wait 3 months for a more accurate result (agauin. my main worry is HIV)

Thanks for any help you could provide here at lease easing my mind :(

For a lot of reassuring information, please search the forum threads and archives for "ARS symptoms", "HIV anxiety", "HIV transmission risk", "oral sex", and "fellatio".  Among other things, you will find the likelihood of HIV infection from any single episode of oral sex (even unprotected) is very low; and that symptoms NEVER are a reliable indicator of HIV infection, because all the same symptoms are caused far more commonly by things other than HIV.

A common cold is a much more likely explanation of your symptoms than HIV or any STD.  Gonorrhea of the throat usually causes no symptoms at all, although it occasionally can cause the symptoms you describe.  To be safe, see a health care provider and have a gonorrhea test of the throat.  (Most gonorrhea in the Philippines is resistant to ciprofloxacin; it probably would have no effect.)  There is no way that your testicular symptoms can have anything to do with the sexual encounter you describe; same for  bleeding gums, spots on your skin, or any other symptoms you mention.

Also search the forum for "time to positive HIV test".  You don't need to wait 3 months; if it will ease your mind to know you are HIV negative, you can be tested 4-6 weeks after exposure.

The risk of HIV infection is greater for the partner who gives oral sex. Recent research presented at the 7th Conference on Retroviruses and Opportunistic Infections in February of 2000 concluded that 8 of 122 cases in an HIV-transmission study were possibly attributable to oral sex, which implies that although going down (giving oral sex) on a man is much lower in risk than other sexual behaviors, there's still a possibility for transmission. Of these 8 infected people, however, some reported having had recent dental work or having cuts in their mouths, meaning that HIV transmission by oral sex may be associated with cuts, lesions, or irritation of the tissues in the mouth.

For the cunnilingus (oral sex on a woman) recipient, the chance of HIV transmission is also low, although the entire vagina is a mucous membrane through which, theoretically, the virus can be transmitted. A woman receiving cunnilingus is more at risk of getting herpes or gonorrhea from her partner than HIV. A person going down on a woman should avoid it during her period, for menstrual blood can carry the HIV virus.

Thanks for All, I'll do the HIV test in 2 and a half week (4 weeks after the sexual contact) to ease my mind (Im still worried and depressed :( )

Let me ask you something else. Is is possible to have just one HIV symptoms (my case 3 days after the sexual encounter, just a mild sore throat or even just throat disconfort with a some phlegm). That my only concern (has been more than a week with the same troath problem now. No fever, no other signs, just this throat disconfort more than a sore.

I say no other symptoms because I found the source of the other ones (the leg pain was a muscle I pulled in manila. I was so worried that I forgot and the testular pain, well. I masturbated vigorosly for 4 hours with no stop :( in manila as well)

ARS almost always has multiple symptoms; almost never just one.  Sore throat alone does not suggest HIV at all.
