NOW I KNOW EVERYONE IS TELLING ME THAT HERPES ARE VERY UNLIKELY TO BE THE CAUSE OF MY SYMPTOMS IM HAVEING AND HAVE HAD FOR ALMOST 5 MONTHS NOW...SO DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY OTHER POSSIBLE CAUSES TO WHAT COULD BE WRONG...SOME HAVE SAID MAYBE A YEAST INFECTIONS...I HAVE NO DISCHARGE THOUGH...SO WHAT ARE SOME OTHER THINGS IT MIGHT BE...ANYONE THAT COULD HELP PLEASE...

FOR ALMOST FIVE MONTHS NOW THE HEAD OF MY PENIS HAS BEEN RED ON TOP AND I HAVE HAD A PINCHING SENSATION THAT COMES AND GOES IN THAT SPOT..MY TESTICALS HAVE THIS DISCOMFORT FEELING AND ALL THIS HAS GONE ON FOR ALMOST FIVE MONTHS...EVERYONE I TALK TO SAYS THAT IM FOOLISH TO THINK ITS HERPES BECAUSE A HERPE OUTBREAK (WHICH I HAVE NOT HAD BLISTERS OR ANYTHING) WOULD NOT HAVE SYMPTOMS THAT LASTED THIS LONG...SYMPTOMS LAST A WEEK AND THEN AN OUTBREAK FOR NO MORE THAN A MONTH...MY PROBLEM HAS BEEN 5 MONTHS..SO WHAT ELSE COULD IT BE...A MALE YEAST INFECTION MAYBE...BUT I HAVE NO DISCHARGE..I JUST NEED SOME OPINIONS I GUESS OR ADVISE

could be a yeast infection I have heard of men getting them if they are having sex with a woman that has one. and it will not go away unless it is treated. maybe you have a small amount of discharge that you have not seen. is it like a rash or is the skin just red? do you have any bumps? you said no blisters. are you using a different kind of soap for showering or washing clothes? could be an irritation?

the skin is red...its not really a rash...when i strech the skin on the head of my penis it looks to be dry and cracked but its just red...its hard to explain...and sometimes i get this tickle feeling between my rectum and my testecals and it feels like it works its way up through my urethra and then goes away...no bumps no blisters...whats the differance between blisters and lisions?...and is it true that it cant be herpes with the amount of time it has stuck around?

i have been having a herpes outbreak for over a year...that's right 365 days of outbreaks. so yes outbreaks can last that long. lesions are super small blisters or bumps. you said the skin is dry and cracked...do you lube when you masturbate? do you remember what it looked like when it first happenend? if so what

no i dont use lube...the day after my encounter i had this pinching sesation on the head of my penis...a few days later it started looking red..and had a discomfort in my testicals...and now it has been going on for five months...the differance between yours and mine is i have had no fluid filled blisters of any sort..small or big..no pain like everyone says herpes are...just red and discomfort...and a few people i have talked to on here seem to think it may be a yeast infection...my doc said that there is no way these symptoms if indeed that of herpes would stick around for 5 months with no outbreak...they symptoms would last and proceed an outbreak by three to four days...then i would have an outbreak..never had one..just this nagging discomfort and red on the head of my penis...my two blood test at one week after and two months after were both neg..i am planning on going in again in the morning and having another done..i have been told that after four months there is no mistaking it...its rather pos or neg...you do or you dont...is that right?

that's right, after 4 months of testing still neg your in the clear this time around. I would put herpes to rest. Maybe this problem has to do with the fact that it was Summer time and ya sweat more and it's a bad case of jock itch. I'm not really sure, I would sick to your plan and see the doc in the morning. be up front with your doc and be like look I have this problem that won't go away, tell the doc that this is freakin you out and your worried it's gonna fall off. All jokes aside..the more worried or concerned you are the more the doc will help you. I'm not a guy so I have no idea what to tell you from here. Good luck to you.

thanks...i have  been to my doc countless times over this and he has even given me meds to cool my nerves because he could tell that i was very worried...he has probably got my penis burnt to his memory because he has seen it so much..every time he laughs and says he thinks that i really have nothing to worry about...but it still wont go away...he gave me med for clamitia and ghon. just in case thats what it was..but it didnt help either...so my only guess would be yeast or worst case it would be herpes that is a weird case in his opinion...but thanks for the advise...

every thought of seeing a different doc

well i have seen two others...i saw a dermitologist and another doc here in town and the dermitologist looked at my problems through a magnified sight glass and said he saw nothing of any worry to him...he said it sounded like i had a pinched nerve that was causing the pinching sensations...the other doc looked me over and said that the redness was probably normal i had just never noticed it before....if so what on earth could be the cause of the other symptoms...something is wrong..may not be herpes but no one can give me a solid answer...all my blood test and other test all have come back neg...but i will just go have my final blood test done tomorrow...
