What Should I do now?

I had unprotected sex with a prostitude when i was drunk. We kissed and had oral sex as well. I pulled out before ejaculation. Im now worried and regret very much. This happened 2 nights ago. I just went to a doctor and he gave me pills for STDs. There are 2 types. First i consumed 4 tablets and subsiquently 2 each day for the next 10 days.

Besides testing after 3 months or 8 weeks for HIV, Is there anything i can do now?

Is it 100% to contract HIV & STDs if you had sex someone who has it?

Does ejaculating outside the virgina reduces the risk of contracting?

Does oral sex have high risk?

Is there any antibiotics i can take now to lower the risk of HIV production in me?

Please help.. im so depressed now!

The azithromycin would cure chlamydia.  I need to know what the dose is of the other one before I can say for sure what it is and what it does.

Different stds have different risks, and I don't know stats for all of them.  I've given you the rates for HIV, and that's the same if she's a prostitute or not.  HIV is the same, regardless.

What does the above drug mentioned above protects me from?

By the way, what are the statistics that people contract STDs or HIVs via prostitudes?
I believe most of them goes through regular blood tests and uses condom most of the time.

Thx

The first is probably azithromycin, the second is either doxycycline or cipro.  Does it have a dosage anywhere?

And the HIV prevention forum is here - http://www.medhelp.org/forums/show/79?camp=msc

Do you have any idea what are the kind of STD meds the doc gave me?
The first 4 tablets which i had to swallow at one go was white with Pfizer brand.
The other 10days course which i have to consume one tablet twice a day is green and branded BIOLAB.

Do you mind posting me the link for HIV prevention community? i cant seem to find it
I think id rather take the side effects short term rather than to contract HIV.

Thanks again AJ i really appreciate your help.

Yes, even without a condom, its 1/1000 or 1/2000.  If you had used a condom, it would be next to no risk at all.  Swallowing with oral sex is little to no risk, as well.  Its thought that the acids in your esophagus and/or stomach will kill hiv.

I don't know the names of the meds, but if you want more info on those, you should ask about it in the HIV prevention community.  My assessment is that you don't need them.

Thanks for your comments AJ

What are the name of the meds which i can take within 72 hours.
Im really worried. She was a prostitude!!

Even without a condom, chances are still 1/1000-2000??

Are you saying that even if you had unprotected sex with a HIV carrier, it is not necessary to contract HIV? Does it depend on our own immune system?

How about swallowing vaginal semens or mens semen? What is it dangerous for?

Hi there -

Your ejaculating inside her doesn't change anything for you.  It might help prevent her from being infected with anything you had, or from getting pregnant.

No, nothing is certain.  If she had HIV, your chances of getting it are about 1/1000 or 1/2000, so its far LESS likely that you would get it from her.  There are meds you could take to help prevent HIV, but if you didn't take them within the first 72 hours, they won't work.  You also didn't really need them, since your chance of infection is so low, and they are strong meds with some strong side effects.

There is no std that is 100% transmission.  The ones you are most likely to get are gonorrhea and chlamydia, and you are getting meds for those.

Oral sex is much lower of a risk for stds than vaginal sex is, and its very little to no risk for HIV.
