I thought I would mention, I saw the other night on an infammercial a guy named Kevin Trudeau who wrote a book on natural rememdies for various diseases and he spoke of Herpes. He said that there is a cure in other countries and not here as the drug companies need to make their money on selling all these drugs for chronic and incurable diseases. I want to get the book and check out what he says on Herpes. Just thought it would be worth mentioning to you all. Take care, EB

There is a sucker, born every minute.....

that is kevin's mantra sweetie and anyone who buys his book is just putting more money in his bank account while he sits at home laughing his ass off at how gulible folks are.  First of all there are not cures for herpes in any other country.  If there were - we'd be here telling you about them and how you could get them online.  Also  all his info in his book - is just info he found - he doesn't care if it's backed by scientific proof or not. There's absolutely nothing you will find in his book that you won't find within 20 minutes online when searching for alternative treatments for herpes.  He doesn't back anything that he lists with research that says that it works - he just takes what others say and puts it on paper.  It's a shame that so many folks have fallen victim to him :(    Google him and see what his background is - it's shocking to say the least.  He has a history of deluding people - don't add yourself to that list!

Do your homework when looking for how to treat your herpes - don't believe it just because a best selling book says you should ( or the lady behind the counter who is making minimum wage tells you to use or even some slick website says works ).  Many of the so called alternative treatments you hear talked about - are only in theory effective for herpes. Many of them are effective in the test tube but once tested on living people they are useless.  And don't kid yourself that the "natural" treatments are so much better for you than what your doctor prescribes either - since there's little to no regulation of them some of them are filled with more harmful substances than a lifetime of antivirals would cause.

Thanks so much and I hear you all the way. I was very skeptical. It said online he knocked acyclovir saying how bad it is for your kidneys on his website. I thought wow, never ever heard that before. I have heard by the NP that it is a very benign drug and can be taken safely daily long term. Thanks again. Knew he had to be a quack. I had never even heard of this man before. I don't have an STD... My aunt however contracted HIV & cured it using the coconut oil (organic, unrefined, extra virgin coconut oil).. Yes, it's TRUE.  She no longer has any viral load (no virus).  

What Trudeau lists in his book for Herpes is:
"The best book on the subject is 'Never an Outbreak', by William Fharel... "  The supplements he mentions are:  "...red marine algae; lysine; hydrogen peroxide; DMSO"

I have read his book cover to cover (almost 600 pages) and bought the "More Natural Cures Revealed (more specific)... My husband and I have taken pretty much all to heart & have done nothing but benefit from it.

My husband has lost (so far) 42 lbs because of Trudeau's recommendations.

I'm in a health-related industry and believe me I've done my own personal reseach.  I'VE read the medical journals, books, websites, etc...Information that is BOTH PRO & CON....

This is the only way to obtain a balanced view on any issue.   Once you have researched, you make your OWN decision based on that info & on the results YOU obtain from any advice you take.

My husband flares up with GOUT only once in a great while (because of a 'too acid diet' ) & uses CELERY SEED (ground see AND extract forms... he likes regular celery seed best) to take it away completely.   If you knew all the PHARMACEUTICALS we've tried that have NOT taken away the pain or condition, you would be amazed.

We have cured ourselves of the FLU which we RARELY get (we DON'T get vaccinated--- there are toxins in vaccinations, just  R E S E A R C H   it !!!), using hydrogen peroxide.

DRUGS ARE MISUSED.  They COVER UP the problem by addressing the symptom & not the cause!

DRUGS are for CRISIS INTERVENTION ONLY!

I wish I had the time to share all I know OF MY OWN EXPERIENCE & the THOUSANDS of people I've spoken with via my occupation (I'm NOT any type of doctor) that have told me nothing but 100% positive stories of their 'natural approach' to health issues.

Here's a bit of wisdom:  

Tho' there are VOLUMES of CLINICAL research that support what Kevin states, if you have common sense, you must know that JUST BECAUSE THERE  M I G H T  BE ONLY ANECDOTAL EVIDENCE (stories/human experience--- not trials conducted by clinics), does NOT MEAN THAT WHAT KEVIN SAYS IS N O T  TRUE!

How many people do you know who've taken a DRUG and is then cured completely (no 'side effects', no re-occurance, no need for ADDITIONAL Rxs).... Now, how many people do you know that once they start a DRUG, they end up on more?

My inlaws are perfect examples.... My MIL --- on 11 drugs... My Step- FIL, at the time he died 14 DRUGS- YES, can you believe that?

Watch people's children..... Say they start out with an ear infection... The Rx is typically given (Amoxicillin, say) and this child ends up with reoccuring ear infections  & other health issues too.....

PROBIOTICS and natural antimicrobials (example garlic oil) take care of the problem w/out the need for antibiotics which destroy ALL bacteria in the body, good & not so good...

Another logical point to think about (paraphrased from Kevin's book).....
SUPPOSE for just a moment that there was a cure for cancer that cost one only $25... Maybe some kind of (free) regimen (like 'eating organic food only') PLUS taking a tea (hypothetical)...Here's the million-dollar (OK, GAZILLION DOLLAR) question:

DO YOU THINK THAT THE MEDICAL ESTABLISHMENT would want you to know about it?  DO YOU THINK they would take a fraction of the amount they make ($) and use it to send out DISINFORMATION? (Info trying to 'debunk' KT's statements or Info trying to make him ---or other natural practitioners --- look like a quack?

Here's one last tidbid to show you how much the medical community cares about curing disease.... Did you know that the money given to (disease) FOUNDATIONS for researching cures, is used to research PHARMACEUTICAL CURES ONLY?  In other words, IF there's a natural cure out there for a particular disease, they do not spend the money to research THAT.  

THAT'S BECAUSE THERE IS   N O   M O N E Y  IN FINDING A NATURAL CURE.  

THEY CANNOT 'PATENT' (substances found in nature cannot be patented 'as it'... you have to 'tweak it in a lab and make it your own' to patent it) IT AND MAKE A TRILLION DOLLARS ON IT.

Your question, estrellab, is a perfect example of what COULD be DISINFORMATION.  YOU could not be YOU - but someone supportive of the MEDICAL INDUSTRY that posts the question so that MedHelp can then make a natural cure look like a dangerous, ridiculous option.  

USE YOUR COMMON SENSE.  DON'T RELY ON MEDICAL INDUSTRY ALONE TO MAKE YOUR DECISIONS!

Talk to people who have lived their ENTIRE LIVES naturally & most will be happy to share the what how when & why of their experiences with natural living.  Isn't a lifetime of experience an 'experiment' of sorts?  Why should a person's experience be discounted just because it doesn't happen in a LAB??

Make the time to READ the 600 pages I did & see what you think.  Put his 'theories' to the test!!!!!

Best Wishes if you are a REAL person. :D  I wouldn't want you to be mis-led (even by some innocent (or not) person who really, truly  believes medicine to be the BEST option for health issues.

For the record, I would be SHOCKED if my post actually makes it through to being published because even if you're not really 'estrellab', others might benefit from this post.  Heaven for bit anyone should believe that a natural substance could cure a condition or disease and take money from the pockets of BIG PHARMA...

Watch Michael Moore's movie SICK0.... At the very least it makes you think!
