What are my risks

Had brief  unprotected insertive oral sex lasting about 5 seconds with escort on 10/13/10.  made her stop.  Have had no sores develop, but have experienced itchiness and general soreness in genital area on and off for past several days.. I always have itchy scrotum so not sure if continuation of a past condition or related to event mentioned. no secretions from penis, although some nights I have to get up to urinate a lot.  This past Friday night, I got up about 5 times throughout the night.  Developed oozing sore on lower leg with two tiny like pimples near by.   Sore has crusted over, itching stopped. We never kissed, I never touched her genitalia in any way. Sometimes I wonder if symptoms i'm experiencing are psychosomatic due to anxiety and guilt felt over situation.  What are my risks given what I have described?  Thanks

Hi,

had urine test which came back negative.  Based on comments above, did not see need for a blood test.  Other issues unrelated to my posts here are being evaluated.  Trying to set appointment for dermatologist and urologist.

letting this go for a month is irresponsible. there are no cost and lower cost options out there you can be utilizing.

your anxiety is more of an issue from the sounds of things than your risk.  don't hesitate to talk to a professional about this too.

I'm waiting to see if I get accepted for assistance from a medical group.  I don't have health insurance.  I have gone to bathroom a couple of times since my last comment and no other issues.  At present, i am not experiencing any symptoms of any kind other than high anxiety and I do seem to go to bathroom a lot on some days, but more normal on others.  my lower leg has not oozed anything in a long time and looks like on way to healing.  it doesn't itch or hurt.  Question.  Since I have not had any discharge after 29 days and the stinging thing last night was so far a brief episode and first time since the incident,  would it be your opinion that the symptom is unrelated to an STD.  I realize I was stupid, but I made the girl stop after about 5 seconds and not even long enough to ejaculate.  I did not have sexual intercourse with her at all.  (There was no way that was going to happen).  Lets just say after the brief moment, I came to my senses.  I mean how unlucky could I be in that time frame.  Given what I have read from Dr. Handsfield, I would say odds are in my favor.  What do you think?  If someone has a UTI/STD in urethra is it symptomatic to sting all the time?  Only when going to bathroom? Sometimes sting upon urination and sometimes not?  I have such high anxiety that every ache, pain, discomfort I feel I think it is an STD.  My mind right now is on high alert over every inch of my body and am constantly aware of everything going on.  My wife sneezes and I think I have passed something on to her that made her sneeze.  I see her scratch her self in the feminine area and I think its my fault.  Is it possible that the whole stinging thing was psychosomatic and all between my ears.  Thanks for your help.

got up twice last night to urinate and no stinging.  also still no discharge. the stinging I felt was more like pressure in a garden hose that was unwinding after the water was turned on.

after 29 days from possible exposure from above, tonight experienced stinging sensation at the beginning of urinating, but no discharge ever.  ONce the flow starts, the stinging stops.  Its only when I start to relieve myself.  What are your thoughts regarding this new development?.

you can get std's from oral sex but the overall risk is low. contracting herpes is the biggest risk but other bacterial std's can also be transmitted as well as ngu.

pretty much if you don't know your partner's std status ( don't be naive that if you ask if they have anything that they are being tested and don't if it's a random one night stand type of situation ), only give and receive protected oral sex to protect yourself and save yourself this worry.

once again - you have an oozing sore - follow up on that part.

So the sore, the one "Developed oozing sore on lower leg".   Just exactly where is this sore?
If its on you lower leg as you say..   then syphilis, and ucerative stds don't generally develop there.

If its an ucerlative STD it would develop near the gential region, but is there another cause for this sore?    If not then see what grace said: go get that checked up.

Medhelp STD community base their answers on what two experts in the field of STDs say about STDs.   (Dr. HHH and Dr EWH) We don't just make stuff up here.   But really you can believe who you want.

Thanks,  I was stupid for allowing things to go as far as they did.  There was no way in you know where that I was going to touch anything on her below her belly button.  My concern is that I do read a lot on internet and there seems to be much conflicting information about risks.  Some places say you are at high risk for things like Herpes, syphilis, Gon and Chlam from oral sex which has increased my anxiety.  I go to your site and you say the opposite.  How can I be sure what is correct?  Thanks for any further input.

Hi

I have to disagree.  You describe a low risk exposure for STDs.   You don't need any testing as I didn't read any symptoms consistant with STDs.

Your risks for STDs are as follows:

NGU, Gonorrhea:            low risk for oral sex
syphilis, herpes,              low low risk (don't even worry about those) for oral sex
HIV, chlmaydia, Hep B:  no risk for oral sex

"Sometimes I wonder if symptoms i'm experiencing are psychosomatic due to anxiety and guilt felt over situation"     This is just about the answer to your problem.
