What are the odds?

I recently found out I tested positive for chlamydia. The last time I got tested (last year), it came back negative.
Not only that, one of my partners before my current partner tested for everything because it was the first time he hadn't used a condom with anyone only to find out I never gave him any sort of STD.

If my previous partner came back with all negative results, could that possibly mean that I never had anything either at the time?

I did get tested a few months before I got with this previous partner but haven't been tested after I got with him, and I felt I didn't need to since he said he came back with all negative results.

I have been seeing only one person for these past few months.  I suspect I got it from my partner this year.
He told me he was positive that he did NOT have chlamydia before he got with me.

Is it possible chlamydia can develop over time? Maybe he didn't know he had it since it is one of the STDs with no symptoms.

I am really paranoid so next week I am getting tested for all STDs.

I don't think I got with anyone who has herpes. And if I did, it would have been during the beginning of the year or last year. I haven't seen any signs for herpes, but since a lot of people I hang out with have herpes, they are making me paranoid that I might have it. If I were to catch it some how, since I know I can only get it sexually, wouldn't the herpes symptoms have shown up by now? Especially since I have been having a lot of sex with the new person I've been with for months. But I haven't seen any signs of herpes or anything. I think I'm just paranoid.

Please help, thank you.

no chlamydia doesn't develop over time.

if you treated your chlamydia and your current partner was tested for std's and doesn't have any, no more worries about chlamydia.

odds are neither you nor your current partner have ever been tested for herpes. Never a bad idea for you both to get type specific herpes igg blood tests to see who has what to cover your bases so you can stop worrying about std's in your current relationship.

I only saw signs for chlamydia which was the milky white discharge, but after I took some chlamydia medicine it went away. I haven't seen any blisters, bumps, or anything that relates to herpes.
