Pennicilin is a poor choice for gonorrhea treatment, but if your test is negative anyway, don't worry about that. The Zithromax should be effective for most things. After you get the results of the rest of the tests you had done, post them here and I'll try to help you out.
I went back to the doctor's today and he said that the Diarrhea is either from the zithromax or just a coincidence. My lymph nodes are back to normal and everything seems fine now. He told me that I tested negative for everything, but he still thinks I had Clamydia (chlamydia). He said that I have been treated and should have nothing to worry about.
If you took a NAAT before you took your antibiotics and it was negative for chlamydia, chances are you didn't have chlamydia. NAATs are very sensitive. I think part of the problem with some doctors is that they (very incorrectly) believe that gonorrhea and chlamydia are the only two organisms which cause urethritis. That is just not the case.
However, if your symptoms are resolving, whatever you did have is probably gone.
BTW your doctor is correct, diarrhea is a common side effect of zithromax.
I'm not sure if it was a NAAT? It was a swab of the inside of my penis and it burnt like hell! Thanks so much for your help stillHurting, you have relieved me more than you could imagine.
