What does "resolved" mean?

In a recent response to a question on genital warts, you said that they normally "resolve" on their own within 8-10 months.  What exactly does resolve mean in this context? I'm assuming it at least means that the wart goes away. But does it also mean I no longer have the virus and am no longer able to spread it?

actually this post was bumped off the std experts forum into by either HHH or Dr Hook. typically it's because it was posted in someone else's post there.

By "resolved" when referring to hpv infections, it means that the virus is at levels undetectable by the means we currently have available to us. We don't know if it means that it's completely gone from the body but we know that it's not likely to transmit it and not likely to reoccur if we can't detect it with the advanced means we currently have at our disposal.
