What is my tingling sensation?

Hi doctor, 3 weeks ago I had protected sex with a girl that I didn't know.  I also received unprotected oral sex.  A couple days afterward I had a very, very tiny cut toward the top of my penis.  And starting about a week ago (two weeks after the encounter) I have had some consistent tingling on the tip of my penis.

I have seen in some of the other forums that the risk of getting herpes from oral sex is relatively small.  My question is, is there still a chance that this could be herpes or maybe something else?  Although I wouldn't describe the cut I had as a lesion or sore by any means it makes me wonder what's going on since I am now having the tingling sensation on the tip of my penis.

I am getting tested ASAP.  I would just like to know what you thought of this in the meantime.  Thanks very much.

It is a possibility, and you should get this checked soon.  The longer you go, the harder it is to diagnose.

I'd say probably herpes or a fungal infection.

Make this a priority for yourself.  Its very important to get checked.
