What is the difference of cervicitis and cervical ectropian?

Hi, so as soon as I found out I got cheated on I went and got an annual exam for everything. My nurse practitioner told me that I had "little herpes". I couldn't believe it so I went and got a second opinion. It turned out I had oral hsv 1 also know as "cold sores". I know that Hsv 1 can also appear on the genitals but I was told I had Hsv 1. I am scarred because i did get oral sex around 2 times. I've never had an outbreak and I was really sad about it but I felt a little better after knowing it was more common than I thought. The problem is that after I got a pap smear my pap came back abnormal and I went to see my gynecologist and he performed a colposcopy since I had a low risk Hpv. As soon as he insert in something It was very painful. He apologized and as he examined me. He said that I had cervicitis. I was confused of what that was. Toward the end of the procedure he showed me an informal picture of my cervix. The cervix paper said cervical eversion and erosion. He pointed out that my cervix looked like cervical eversion. I am confused and sad because I read online that cervicitis is caused by infections and herpes and when I got my anual exam checked out I knew that I had hsv 1 and an hpv low risk. Does this mean I have Hsv 1 in my genitals that I am not aware of that is causing the cervicitis? or is the hpv causing the cervicitis? Do I have both Cervicitis and Cervical Eversion along with an Hpv? I didn't know what to ask at the moment because He said he was able too fix the virus in my cervix with two options but I don't know what to think. I feel as if my dating life is basically over. I took a stupid decision on trusting a guy I thought cared for me. He's the only person Ive ever been sexually active with. I am a good person, it feels as if I am going to be alone and miserable the rest of my life.

There is no such thing as a little herpes. What testing was done for your herpes diagnosis?

Many things, many non-std related, can cause cervical inflammation. Did they do any swabs? Prescribe you any medications?
