What is the risk of a man contracting STD's from RECEIVING oral sex?

I am a man, and I recently had an encounter where I received oral sex from a stranger at an adult video theater. This is the first time I have done this. I never spoke to him so I don’t have any sexual history from him, however given his behavior I would consider him to be “high risk”. Immediately afterwards I went to the bathroom and I smothered my genitals in Purell hand sanitizer. Then I urinated and washed my genitals in the sink. However after reading online it appears that there is a risk of contracting herpes, gonorrhea, and other STDs even though I was only on the receiving end. I am especially concerned about herpes since there is no cure.  My question is, what kind of risk do I face? and did the urination and sanitizer do anything to help prevent it?  I have a fiance that I do not want to pass anything on to.

I had precisely the same kind of exposure. I don't believe 2 weeks is enough to be sure and safe. 6 weeks and then test for STDs is what I will do and then up to 4 months for Herpes again.

Even though the risk was low, if I did contract something it could ruin my life.  My plan is to only have protected sex with my fiance for two weeks, then get tested.  Is that a good plan?

Your risk was low and doing whatever you did after has no effect on getting a STD.
