What testing do I need

What testing do I need

Hello...5 months ago I received protected oral sex at a massage parlor...I know this is essentially a zero risk for any std. The lady started rimming me as I was on my stomach and I asked her to stop. About 3 months later I began to have pains in my lower abdomen and in my groin. At 5 months I developed redness and some irritation at the urethra opening of my penis. Now my penis stings on and off during the day but not when I am urinating.  I also have occasional pain  in the perinium and a burning sensation in the anus.  The pain in my penis seems to be getting worse as well as testicular pain. I had an HIV and Hep test after 3 months which came back negative for all. Should I be concerned about other stds? The timeline doesn't fit but the symptoms are there. No discharge So maybe syphillis (syphilis) or herpes in the urethra?  Please tell what testing I need next.  Could this be due to taking Keflex for a cold?

Are you still on the keflex?  First, that does NOTHING for a cold.  A cold is a virus, and an antibiotic kills bacteria.  Second, you need to wait 2 weeks following your last pill to test, as antibiotics can give you false negatives on the tests.

I'd follow up with your doctor sooner, though.  You might be having a reaction to the keflex.

Let me rephrase...I took the Keflex for an Upper Resp. Infection...but the irritation had started before I started taking the Kelflex....The doctor also put me on an anitfungal pill for tinea spots on my body that I have had off and on for years...any advice?

Cannonball - I'd wait until you are done all meds, see how you feel, and go from there.  You really had a very low risk, if there was any at all, so take care of the URI and tinea first.

Dbernardo - If you had a high risk situation, then yes, you should.  If you have further questions, start your own thread, please.
