When will the chlamydia symptoms disappear taking 1 gram of azithromycin?

by rainingurl, Aug 03, 2009 11:14PM
A month or two ago, i started showing symptoms of UTI and was treated with seven day antibiotics. Most of the symptoms disappear except ;
1. irritation in the internal vagina include pain
2. itchiness
3. yellowish and whitish discharge
Then i went to get an vaginal examination, my doctor could not find any bacteria or yeast in vaginal sample. A week later, i receive a phone call informing me that i got Chlamydia. The doctor gave me 1 gram of  azithromycin telling me that it should cured my infection. Today is my fifth day of the treatment, i still feel the symptoms as i started. Could i got infected with something more severe?

Symptoms can take up to 1 week to go away. If you do not have any improvement after 1 week then follow up with your Dr.
