White vinegar test for HPV/Warts???

I went to the doc and was told my bumps did not look like HPV.   The PA told me to take white vinegar and place a liberal amount on the shaft of my penis.  If any of the heads turned white, I had HPV.  None did.  I spoke to another doc today and he hadn't heard of this (thought he iw a work comp doc).   Anybody else ever heard of this test?  It seemed off to me and now I have I have bumps and a crotch that smells like an Italian salad.  FYI - Don't get the vinegar on your testicles.  It tends to burn.

Vinegar is common, especially on women. I have had it done to me. However, other things can sometimes turn white besides HPV warts.
