Will taking azithromycin pills harm you if you dont have chlamydia

I know azithromycin is used to get rid of chlamydia , but say you have a false positive test (you dont really have chlamydia) but still take the azithromycin, can you then acquire chlamydia from taking the antibiotics ?

No you can not get chlamydia from taking medication for it. But if you take medication for it you might build up a resistance if you don't have chlamydia. So in the future if you do get chlamydia medication might not work.

You have had many posts on here. Have you ever tested?

antibiotic resistance is very real and very dangerous. I'm a fan of not taking any antibiotics without a confirmed infection. I see every single day the effects of multiple drug resistant infections in people and it's not worth taking an antibiotic just in case.
