Wiped my vagina with toilet paper that had potential blood on it?

I need people who are mature and who are certain of their answers. This is serious!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was at work and used the bathroom as usual. When I was done, their was a roll of toilet paper in the stall. I wrapped it around my fingers about four times then tore it to prepare for wiping. The toilet paper appeared to be dry and I saw absolutely nothing on it prior to me wiping myself. I proceed to wipe my vagina and when I looked, it was red stuff on the toilet paper. I asked myself, "is this my period?" However, it looked bright red and i found that to be strange. I threw that paper down the hatch and I rolled off more paper and tore it. I wiped again and it was absolutely nothing coming off on the paper. I started to panic because I just realized that the red stuff had to be on the paper before I wiped. I rolled off some more paper for examination and I saw a little bit more of the "red stuff". I know this sounds insane but I have been worried ever since. Can I get ANY type of sexually transmitted disease this way?? I'm talking ANY kind. I am afraid to have sex with my man because it is killing me on the inside. Again, please be mature and knowledgeable. I need your expertise on this mater. Thank you in advance.

Oh absolutely, and I can't say that if I saw the same thing that I wouldn't freak first, and ask questions later.  :)

Well, what you say does actually make sense. However, when you are in the actual situation, and you are uncertain where the red stuff came from, you get a bit concerned.

I wouldn't worry about STDs from this at all.  I can't imagine it was blood, and you can get checked if you want, but I don't see a cause to.

If it was blood, it would have saturated it all, not just a couple of layers on the top, and then nothing till the middle.  Does that make sense?
