Worried, HIV? STD? What could it be?

Thank you so much for your time in helping out worried strangers online, I really admire your work.

9/1/14 Unprotected sex with a female prostitute. I am a 30 year old male.

9/15/14 systems such as odd tongue spots, which three doctors believe is geographic tongue appear.

9/29/14 Hiv 4th Gen, and RNA test, full panel STD test: gonorrhea, syphilis, herpes 1 2, etc.

All negative.

February 2015,geographic tongue persists. Wife suddenly has geographic tongue as well. She has no idea whether she's had it before or not. Her symptoms are exactly like mine. Red blotchy areas on tongue with white borders moving around.

Could it be that tests missed an STD? What STD would be possible? Could this be HPV?

Thank you so much, I can't sleep thinking I've somehow infected my wife.

Vance,

I also forgot that I had the tongue culture swabbed for herpes.

Should I get retested for herpes and syphilis? The tongue does not hurt nor is it bothersome. The appearance of it is just alarming when it does break out.

No this would not be STD related based on symptoms. You did test too early for syphilis and herpes though. 6 weeks and 3 months for those.
