Worried about Massage Experience

Dear Doctor,
I just visited Thailand, I am a happily married man and do not have any STDs.  I wanted to get a Thai massage because my back was bothering me--ALL I wanted was a back massage.  I went to what seemed to be a reputable place, however, during the massage the woman grabbed my penis.  I was in shock and didn't know what to do so told her I did not want that kind of massage and she went back to massaging my back but then proceeded to grab my penis for the second time.  I left immediately and am very upset by the incidence.  I am now very afraid that I could have gotten an STD by her grabbing my penis twice.  Now that I know it wasn't just a massage parlor I keep thinking in my mind that I was laying on those sheets nude and who knows who else's penis she touched that day.  If her hand was dirty, if she was infected with something or if she had touched the person before me and had his bodily fluid on her then is it possible to get an STD from her grabbing my penis with her hand.
Thanks for listening, I'm very tramatized.

There is no STD risk from hand to genital contact, regardless of all the tortuous 'what if she touched XXX' scenarios you can imagine.

You were sexually assaulted and you should look at the event in that light.  If you remain upset about it, you might want to speak with a counselor about it.  But you have no worries about STD.

Good luck--  HHH, MD

Sexually assualted is a strong for for what happened. It sounds like you wondered into the "wrong" place and got more than you bargained for. I have been to Thailand myself and many massage parlours offer both services so it is an easy mistake to make. Many of these women are in relative poverty and combined with the language barrier meant she was probably only trying to "encourage" business. You are worrying over nothing in my opinion.
