Worry about herpes or dont?

by scaredcrazy83, Apr 25, 2009 02:50PM
I am a male I had sex with a female almost a month ago. At one point during sex her vagina was kind of dry. Six days after I noticed two red dots at the tip of my penis. They were not painful to the touch but kind of open with no elevation or deepness never was any blisters  before or after red spots but the spots were open and kind of wet .There was redness in another spot on the head but it was not  open or wet.Went to the E.R. the next day got a Swab HSVPCR. The results came back negative. Two days after the E.R. visit I had blood test done at local clinic when the results came back the Dr. told me 1.1 meant I was exposed to Herpes. I know this was one of the test that is not type specific because it said for type 1and/or2. Then 14 days after the D.R. visit, which was 3 weeks after exposure( if any exposure) I orderd a Herpes Select test from TSTD. The results are neg for both HSV type 1 and HSV type 2. These result make it a primary outbreak if the spots were caused  by herpes 1 or 2. Right ?. Also spots went away in less than a week.My question from what I told you. Do you think the spots were herpes of either type? Since I tested neg for both types on the Herpes Select Test wouldn't my first outbreak have more symptoms than just the spots and last longer than a few days?   Also why didnt tstd post any numbers ? They just posted that I was negative for type 1 and 2? Were the numbers to low to even think of herpes? I had the same thing happen 2 years ago before but the spots were underneath my penis on the shaft. I think dry friction caused both incidents. Should I just stop thinking it was herpes because it is driving me crazy? After 3 weeks of exposure my Herpes Select Test  results should be pretty accurate, Right?
