YEAST INFECTON

I recently had sex with an ex girlfrined of mine. I really dont know of her sti or std status. About a week after our encounter i developed a rash on the shaft of my penis, the base and some on the testicles. I went to the doctor and ws todl that it was a yeast infection. Doctor said it was possiably from the changing of the seasons and the air getting dryer. I wore a condom everytime i had sex with her. do condoms protect against yeast infections? is it just Transfered from skin to skin contact? I would mention that i had been taking the medication acylovir for my HSV-1. I never experienced any broken or slipped condoms. can it be transfered through casual contact?

well if the condoms are affective against the yeast infections then why did i get one. I cant help but wonder if the condom was in-effective ad what else i could have been exposed to. Woud acylcovir cause a yeast infection? I worry about being exposed to HIV.

Relax.  A yeast infection is not really an STD or anything to be concerned about.  Even if your ex g/f had a yeast infection, that doesn't mean she has an STD.  Condom do protect you if she had a yeast infection, but guys can have yeast infections on their penises as well.
