I get yeast infections all the time but she might want to check for trich as well.  Not to put you down for possibly giving it to her, men can have it and never know.  If she has it you need to get treated as well (even if it doesn't show up in your test there are many false negatives for men).  I have it, took months to find because it was never under the microscope and I thought I was OK because I always use protection and have only been with two men in my whole life.  You can get it from wet towels apparently, I know it sounds like BS but my bf's doc said its a possibility.

I have had yeast infections since I was born. I do not know why. When I was in third grade they tried to take a swab and I was too scared to let them. From the time I was about 14 to 19 the yeast infections stopped. Now I am 22 and since about last year they have been coming back. I noticed I began having yeast infections the more I drank alcoholic beverages. I am beginning to believe it has something to do with that. So I am going to stop drinking for a while and see what happens. Worrying can cause them as well. I also noticed I got more yeast infections when my thighs started touching. I gained a little weight but I am still slim. But it is good to get tested for diabetes and Hiv because both of those cause yeast infections.

I currently have a vaginal yeast infection that wont go away. You might want to take a look at some of my posts. I am being treated with an antifungal pill called Itraconazole. I have had this constant vaginal yeast infection for a LONG time. I don't have hiv or diabetes, I'm not sexually active, and I do not have a thyroid problem. I am currently on a low sugar diet also. I developed this yeast infection 2 days after taking Augmentin for a sinus infection. I still can't believe I'm going through this. My heart goes out to anyone that has to suffer with a constant or reoccuring yeast infection.

I have re-occuring yeast infections and cannot find out why. My doctor just said that I have so much up in there.I have been tested for lots of other things and all test came back clear. I can take something for it and it will go away, at least I think it does. But it comes back in like a month or so. So I know a little of what your wife is going through. I even thought that I was diabetic since that comes with diabetes. But I have no other symptoms of diabetes. Maybe it's just something in our bodies.

Yeast infections are not caused by std's.  Yeast is distinct and can be determined during examination under a wet mount.  Some women just get recurring yeast infections for reasons that cannot be explained.
