advice needed please

I had a MAJOR argument with my girlfriend and stupidly stormed off and slept with a prostitute in Soho, London. She gave me oral and we had (rough-ish) sex in the missionary position - all WITH a condom on start to finish. My concern is that a few days before this I had what looked like a pus-filled spot on the shaft of my penis (about 2/3rds way down), which I had 'popped' a couple of times before (pus came out, followed by small amount of blood). I forgot about this at the time, but thinking back I am not sure that it was covered by the condom! Could the spot have popped during sex? If it was not covered by the condom when this happened would I be at risk of an STD? I've not had any symptoms (burning, discharge etc.) but am really worried because my girlfriend and I have unprotected sex mostly. I don't want to tell her but I don't want her catching anything either. This all happened last week ... too soon for testing? Not possible to test for HPV which is most likely? Any help would be much appreciated!

thank you Grace - that really is a great comfort to hear. I think I may do the testing anyway just to be on the safe side.

this was protected oral and protected genital sex. In general we don't even recommend any testing from this unless you develop symptoms.

condoms really do work hence why we recommend them for sexual contact :)

thank you - what are the symptoms of HSV? should I not have sex till I'm tested? That might be really difficult to avoid!

Well you'd be at risk of the non-urethral type infections should you have had a break in the skin which wasn't covered by the condom. So HSV, HIV or Syphilis. But I would imagine the risk to be pretty small for all of those. It would take several weeks before a blood test for HSV would be effective.
