Could whitlow cause a hsv 2 positive test? Just wondering cause I have never had a genital outbreak although through my searching I have come across whitlow and from the pictures it appears as though thats what I have. I know I cant diagnose from pictures but I do get the blisters on my fingers. Never knew what they could be until i came across whitlow.

Since you asked for me, I'll say I agree with Grace.  :)  If you have hsv2 on your finger, yes it could cause a positive hsv2 test, but you need to get that cultured before assuming anything.

You need to see your provider and get this looked at and cultured.
