Well it can be caused by many things other than staph but certainly a bacterial infection is what is is.
This is not likely to be std related. If you've had unprotected sex with partners who's std status you are not aware of, cover the bases from that standpoint, not from just this current issue you have going on.

bad smelling pus out of boil is sign of a staph infection,my husband is trying to get thru one now and if they are not treated with antibiotics it can spread to other areas like my husbands did.
