Dear Doctor,
I had unprotected sex very recently and next day onwards started experiencing this burning sensation around edge of penis. Not sure to which infection this can relate to? How soon the symptoms could start shows up for different type of STDs? While sitting I its more but while walking it doesn't feel much as high as while sitting. Its too late but what are my next options available?? Is there any oilment which can apply temporarily?? How soon one should see a doctor? I know I am asking lots of questions here...as time permits pls reply. Thanks v much.

Don't worry about it. I had the same feeling too, even asked my friend at work who also had unprotected sex with his GF and said he was feeling the samething as I was. You are feeling the way I was feeling fews days ago... I still feel like numb one side of my penis sometimes and then goes away.

Don't pay too much attention. Is this your first time having unprotected sex? Mines was first time having unprotected sex it was last week... i am starting to feel better now....

This is not the doctor's forum, but I will try to help.  One day is too soon for STD symptoms to appear - they take at least a couple of days to show up.  It's possible that your symptoms are driven by anxiety which can magnify normal body sensations.  However, if your problem persists, you should go to a doctor to get an accurate diagnosis.  I wouldn't suggest using any ointments, because they usually just cause more irritation.
Good luck,
Em
